The diet that would influence the sex of the baby
It was Professor Joseph Stolkowski, a specialist in mineral metabolism, who put forward the thesis of the girl-boy diet. It is possible make a change in his diet to influence the sex of his unborn baby.
Experiments carried out in France and abroad have shown 80% success rate. Concretely, it is about adopting a diet at least two to three months before conception.
For a boy …
If you want a boy, you will have to prioritize foods rich in potassium, sodium. So make way for meat, cold meats, pulses, starchy foods (bread, rice, pasta), dried fruits (almonds, hazelnuts). For drinks: fruit juice and tea.
For a girl…
If you want to have a daughter, the reverse is true. You must promote foods rich in calcium and magnesium ie yoghurts and other dairy products, ice cream, white meat, fish, eggs. When it comes to fruits and vegetables, choose the green vegetables (beans, salad, spinach) and for red fruits, apples and pears. Foods with salt content (bread, cold meats, frozen meals) are to be avoided. Finally drink water (Hepar, Contrex).
The limit : if you wish to implement such a scheme, know that there is no guarantee. First ask your doctor for advice because you must respect your nutritional needs.
The Selnas method: for a natural selection of the sex of the baby?
The natural selection of sex or the Selnas method was proposed in 1995 by Doctor Patrick Schoun. The principle is based on the fact that the ovum would have a variable electrical polarity. For example when it is positive (70 days per year), it would be a girl because it would attract the X chromosomes. Conversely for a boy (70 days per year) where the Y chromosomes would be chosen.
However, it should be noted that the other days, ie 225 days per year, the egg is neutral so you have as much chance of having a boy or a girl.
To implement the Selnas method at home, you must call on a laboratory which patented the method. Thanks to a questionnaire on your menstrual cycle, you will receive a calendar in which are noted the days when sexual intercourse will give a child of a particular sex and those when it is preferable to protect yourself.
Prokaïd international laboratories based in Sophia Antipolis have highlighted studies carried out on 2,432 pregnancies and 2,295 gave birth to a child of the desired sex. You should still know that among this calendar few days are ultimately fruitful.
The limit : this system could promote lower fertility. Remember, the best way to conceive is to have sex a lot.

Frequency of intercourse by date of ovulation
It was in the 1960s that Dr. Landrum Shettles made the following observation: the Y sperm are smaller the Xs. The former are therefore faster and more resourceful. And the second more resistant.
Bottom line: the closer intercourse is to the date of ovulation, the more likely you are to have a boy (Y). If they are too far apart (about three to four days before ovulation), the daughter sperm (X) are more likely to reach the egg.
The limit : in practice, it is always difficult to know the precise date of ovulation. With these calculations (temperature curve or other), do not lose sight of the fact that it is the sexual activity itself that will allow you to have a baby.
Medical techniques to choose the sex of your future child
Today we have the keys in hand to be able to sort out male or female sperm. This is the case for in vitro fertilization with preimplantation diagnosis. These techniques are done just before the establishment of a pregnancy and are used when it comes to to avoid a genetic disease transmitted by the sex chromosomes. We think first of all of hemophilia, a disease that only affects boys.

Ethical laws prohibit the implementation of these methods for the convenience of couples. However, in several countries such as the United States, the Middle East, India, Egypt, Jordan, some privileged people have access to this medically assisted procreation (AMP) to choose the sex of their future child. But it is a real psychological and medical test for the woman, knowing that the pregnancy is never certain.
