Decidedly, the actress Mylène Demongeot has no luck on the health side. The 85-year-old actress, best known for her role as Abigail in Witches of Salem, announced to face a new hard blow.
While she was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer in 2019, then contracted and cured of Covid-19 in March 2020, Mylène Demongeot has just learned of the recurrence of her cancer.
“I am currently in Paris to treat a recurrence of my peritoneal cancer”, she reveals in the columns of France Dimanche. “The doctor told me that it stays dormant in the body and that it can come back from time to time. And there it is again. I suddenly returned to my Parisian pied-à-terre for new chemo sessions. But it’s okay, I’m happy to do it, because I feel it really makes me feel good. We can say to ourselves that it is a poison that kills you, well me, it does me good for the moment, this poison”, She added.
The actress remains very optimistic, however: “I’m going to do it with flying colors and be in great shape in a month. But let’s face it, this cancer will probably bother me for the rest of my life”, She confided.
Tested positive for Covid-19 in March 2020, Mylène Demongeot believes that she survived thanks to Professor Raoult’s treatment. She is also finishing a book on this subject, which she simply titled “Thank you Raoult”. The actress, who spent three weeks in the hospital fighting the coronavirus, still has to walk with a cane because she has not completely regained the use of her legs.
